WFSC ball-detent torque limiters (safety clutches) transmit torque backlash-free for their entire service life — compact, easy to adjust, low inertia. On overload the balls cam out of their detents and the unit slips; a signal ring can trip a switch to cut power and protect the machine. For servo / stepper and other high-dynamic precision drives needing overload protection. 8 sizes; L / M / H trip-torque stages cover 4–2400 N·m.

The table lists 8 sizes with trip torque from 4 to 2400 N·m, bores up to Ø145 mm, maximum speed 4000 rpm. The slip torque is set on the machine within each size's range; other bores and combined sprocket / pulley / coupling versions are made to drawing.

Choose the WFSC ball-detent limiter when the drive must disengage instantly and precisely on overload and re-engage by itself: it transmits torque backlash-free in normal running, the balls cam out at the set torque, and a proximity switch can pick up the disengagement to stop the machine — typical on packaging, printing and automated assembly axes.
