Wolfer runs a 3D-CAD-centric engineering system that holds every customer drawing as a versioned model — not as a flat PDF. The same system feeds CAM programs, FEA-validation runs, and the inspection-record templates the QC team uses on the floor.

The practical result for customers: re-orders ship faster than first articles (~15–20 days vs. ~30), because we are not re-quoting, re-cutting, or re-inspecting from scratch — we are re-running a known-good package against fresh material.

What our digital system does

3D drawing database

Every customer drawing held as a SolidWorks part + STEP export. Revisions tracked; re-orders pull from the same root model.

FEA on load-critical parts

Bending-stress / contact-stress finite-element validation on heavily loaded gears and shafts before first cut.

CAM program library

Cutting programs saved per part, so the 50th re-order cuts on the same tool path as the 1st.

Inspection record per lot

Inspection data for every lot is archived by lot code in the engineering system. Re-orders reuse the same inspection baseline for lot-to-lot consistency.

Material certificate archive

Every mill certificate scanned and indexed against the lot it shipped with.
