Industrial Automation

Conveyor drives, packaging-line motion, and AGV transmissions for high-mix automation builders.

Industrial automation is the broadest single category we serve — conveyor drives, packaging-line indexers, AGV transmissions, garment-machinery synchronizers. The unifying theme is that every machine model is slightly different from every other, and the volumes are too low for catalog suppliers but too high to hand-make.

What we ship

Parts we make for automation builders.

Conveyor sprockets

ANSI #25 – #240, induction-hardened tooth flanks

Indexing timing belt pulleys

HTD / GT, custom bore + keyway for packaging-line drives

Long-stroke gear racks

Class 6 ground racks for gantry positioning

Jam-protection torque limiters

Friction or ball-detent, set to drawing trip torque

Drive couplings

Jaw / disc / Oldham between motor and gearbox

A typical automation OEM ships 20–200 machines per year and uses a hundred unique gear part-numbers across their product line. They cannot afford the lead time and MOQ of a big catalog supplier; they cannot afford the price of a Western job shop. We sit in the middle — quote 24 hours, deliver 30 days, on volumes from 10 to 500 pieces.

Common parts: timing belt pulleys for indexing belts, sprockets for chain conveyors, gear racks for long-stroke positioning, jaw / disc couplings between motor and gearbox, torque-limiters for jam protection.

For high-mix builders, we standardize on a "default" material and treatment per part family — so re-quotes and new variants stay simple unless the customer asks otherwise.

Engineering requirements

What makes automation parts different.

Fast quoting

24 h quote on standard families — same-day on simple parts

Low-MOQ flexibility

Comfortable at 10 pcs, optimized for 50–200 pcs / lot

Drop-in standard parts

Default material + treatment per family — fewer decisions per RFQ

Jam protection ready

Torque-limiter integration in pulleys / sprockets where helpful

Repeat-order tooling

Hobbing / grinding tooling held — re-orders ship faster than firsts

3× service life · −5 dB noise

Corrugated packaging machinery — 3× gear life

Re-cut a worn helical gear set for a corrugated-board packaging machine. Switched material from 40Cr to 20CrMnTi case-hardened, ground after heat treatment. Customer measured 3× the wear life of the original.

0 returns in 18 months

Garment-machinery sprocket re-cut

High-volume sprocket order for a sewing-machine OEM. Set up induction hardening on tooth flank only — zero returns since first delivery.

FAQ

Common questions from automation buyers.

What's the smallest order quantity you accept?

One. For prototype and low-volume work we have no MOQ — we routinely cut single replacement parts. Our sweet-spot for unit cost is 50–200 pieces per lot.

How fast can you quote a new sprocket / pulley?

Same day on standard ANSI / HTD parts — we have the cutter library. Custom-profile or non-standard module typically 24 hours.

Can you integrate a torque limiter into the pulley or sprocket?

Yes — that's roughly half of our torque-limiter business. We need the OEM drawing of the pulley / sprocket the limiter must fit, plus the trip torque.
