Ground straight rack: what size range does the table cover?

The table lists 34 standard racks: module 1–10, standard lengths 500 / 503 / 509 / 999 / 1005 / 1018 mm (20–318 teeth per piece). Racks can be butt-jointed end to end for longer travel; other modules, lengths and mounting-hole patterns are made to drawing.

Ground straight rack: what is it and when should I use it?

Straight racks · ground teeth · 20° pressure angle; ground flanks, high pitch accuracy, induction hardened — for laser-cutting gantries, CNC machine X/Y axes and other high-precision long-travel linear drives. Choose ground racks (Grade 6, induction hardened HRC 50–55) for laser gantries, CNC axes and any drive where positioning accuracy and long life matter; milled racks (about Grade 7) are the economical option for medium-accuracy automation and conveying. Helical teeth run smoother at speeds above roughly 60 m/min and carry about 30% more load per face width, at the cost of axial thrust on the pinion bearings.
