Taper Bushings
Quick-mount, keyed taper bushings — Taper-Lock and QD compatible — for fitting pulleys, sprockets and timing-belt wheels to any shaft.
Standard Taper-Lock (TB) and QD bushings in common bores are stocked and ship the same week. Non-standard bores, keyways and taper angles are machined from solid bar to your drawing — typically 15–25 days.

Split taper bushing (1008–5050 series) drawn into a matching hub taper by set screws — the industry-standard quick-mount.

Flanged bushing with pull-up bolts; mounts from either side into a matching hub taper. JA / SH / SD / SK series (US-standard SD-25).

What we make
Two taper-bushing families.
Type 1
Taper-Lock (TB) bushings
Split tapered bushing (1008–5050 series) drawn into a matching hub taper by set screws. The industry-standard quick-mount.
Type 2
QD quick-disconnect bushings
Flanged bushing with pull-up bolts; mounts from either side into a matching hub taper. JA / SH / SDS / SK series.

In-stock sizes
Common Taper-Lock (1008 / 1108 / 1210 / 1610 / 1615 / 2012 / 2517 / 3020 / 3525 …) and QD (JA / SH / SDS / SK …) ship the same week from Foshan.
The taper bushing is the quiet workhorse of belt and chain drives: a split, tapered sleeve that the mounting screws pull into a matching hub bore, clamping the shaft through a keyway as it seats. Because the grip comes from the taper rather than a tight bore, one stock series covers a whole range of shaft diameters — and the wheel comes off as cleanly as it went on. No press, no heat, no puller marks.
We cut to the established Taper-Lock (TB) and QD dimensional patterns, so our bushings drop straight into the equivalent branded installation. Order the bushing on its own, or let us ship the pulley, timing pulley or sprocket already bored, keyed and bushed to your shaft — ready to slide on and tighten.
Why a taper bushing
Four reasons it is the default mount.
01
Quick mount & dismount
Grub screws or pull-up bolts — no press, no heat, no puller damage.
02
One series, many shafts
A single stock bushing series covers a wide range of shaft diameters.
03
Keyed torque transfer
Standard keyway transmits full rated torque — positive and repeatable.
04
Interchangeable
Taper-Lock / QD patterns interchange with the equivalent branded parts.
Standards & testing
What we cut to, and what we verify.
- Taper-Lock (TB) series — the de facto global quick-mount pattern
- QD series — flanged, mounts from either side
- Metric taper bushings to GB / DIN pattern
- Material: medium-carbon steel, black-oxide finish (alternatives on drawing)
- Bore & keyway gauged per lot
- Concentricity check after trial mounting
- Hardness verification per lot
- EN 10204 3.1 mill certificate on request

FAQ
Common engineering questions.
+What is the difference between Taper-Lock and QD bushings?
A Taper-Lock (TB) bushing seats flush and is clamped by set screws — compact, and by far the most common. A QD bushing carries a flange and bolts up from either face, which makes it quicker to release and lets you reverse-mount the wheel. Both transmit torque through a keyway plus the taper grip, so the choice is about access and serviceability, not torque capacity.
+Can you supply the pulley or sprocket with the bushing already fitted?
Yes — we ship bushed V-belt pulleys, timing pulleys and sprockets as a matched set, bored and keyed to your shaft, so the part arrives ready to slide on and tighten. Give us the shaft diameter and keyway, and we handle the rest.
+Do you make taper bushings to a non-standard bore or keyway?
Yes — a non-standard bore, keyway, taper angle or a weld-on hub is machined from solid bar to your drawing, typically in 15–25 days. Send the drawing, or just the shaft and wheel details, and we'll quote it.
+Are your bushings interchangeable with branded Taper-Lock / QD parts?
Yes. We manufacture to the established Taper-Lock and QD dimensional patterns — same taper, same bore series, same bolt circle — so our parts drop into the equivalent installation without reworking the hub. We ship Wolfer-marked parts to those patterns, not OEM-branded ones; if you need genuine branded parts under a supplier agreement, source those from the brand.
+What is the typical lead time?
Standard TB / QD sizes in stock ship same week from Foshan. Custom bushings are machined from solid bar in 15–25 days from drawing confirmation.
